Absolutely wonderful
I fell deeply in love with this podcast after listening to episode Ep. 28 Ragnarok about a couple months ago. Since then, I’ve listened to every episode, become a backer on patreon, and then listened to every extra episode (or Treat, as they’re called) in the space of a couple months. It is an absolutely fantastic show. I envy anybody who’s just getting into it. I wish I could erase every episode from my mind and listen to them all again for the first time. I’m pretty picky about podcasts since, well, a lot of them are hot garbage. I only listen to a few regularly. This is the show that I most immediately became interested in and most feverishly listened through the backlog of. Each episode is really different. The topics are always fascinating, and they’re commentary is really unique. I think they’re really careful about what they say, and they have a great rapport. Each episode feels like it goes somewhere, and I feel like I’ve gained something for having listened. They’re also hilarious without really trying to be. I guess that comes with the territory of being such great friends, which it seems like these three really are. It’s show that’s both comforting to listen to but stimulating and engaging as well. Can’t recommend it enough. The extra episodes you get for backing the patreon at 5 bucks are great as well. I especially loved the q&a where they talk about themselves a little bit more. All in all, it’s a great show, and in a short time I’ve become a massive fan.

After having spent many weeks stress-eating Taco Bell and ugly crying over the disasterous American election, this is exactly what I needed. These three men are brutally smart, funny as hell and have managed to make the perfect podcast. Please download this, like, yesterday.

Rare is the podcast that manages to be smart, funny, contrarian, surprising, and sincere all at once, but the Picnic pulls it off. Do yourself a favor, take an icepick to the frozen sea within you, and listen.
