A podcast that doesn’t waste your precious time.
Choosing a podcast is a problem of making good use of your limited time. There are many podcasts in the world, some of them very fine, and all of them competing for your attention alongside everything else you do. You can’t enjoy it all. You can’t even sample a respectable fraction of it. As a gift of time from one stranger to another, let me commend this one to you. The relentless picnic will demand your full attention - you won’t want to be doing anything more complex than the dishes while you listen - but it repays generously with conversation that is heartfelt, erudite, wide ranging, and funny. It is, alone among podcasts, the only one I currently make time for.
