“Trenzy here! I’m so glad you guys decided to make this podcast. It’s very, very good. While I’m here, I has a question. ^-^ What do you think the chances are of some kind of reference to Plagueis occurring in The Force Awakens? If the Knights of Ren are searching for Sith artifacts, as long rumored, wouldn’t Plagueis’s staff be among them? So much marketing emphasis is being put on Rey’s staff, and that thing looks uncannily like Plagueis’s. Plus, since it’s on Jakku, that could very will be your reason for Kylo coming to the planet in the first place. And then there’s JJ saying that Kylo is very aware of what came before him. Yes, he means Vader … but is that the only person? It’s not like the ONLY person who came before Kylo Ren was Vader. There are plenty of Sith in Legends, but the only two whose names are canon are Bane and, of course, Plagueis. Then the old concept art leaks show a figure in a tomb-like room (hey, didn’t Plagueis die, according to Palpatine? OF COURSE HE’D BE IN A TOMB!!), as well as a VERY Plagueis-looking Sith in a similar setting. Some have suggested that this is a “placeholder" design, but I’ve never heard of such a thing, and I’ve kept up with the concept art business for years. So, yes. That’s all the evidence I have to suggest that Plagueis might possibly could maybe kinda sorta show up in TFA, or at least be mentioned. Thoughts?
