“There is only one other production I know of that actually puts you ON the mountain from the coziness of your favorite comfy chair, and that's Discovery Channel's hour-by-hour programming of the last 4 days of summiting (forgot which year this was, 2005? 2006? or 2007?) and that was so fantastic, I felt exhausted after that final hour of actual topping the summit.
