Started off good but I’m quitting
The first couple episodes were really good but the show has devolved into the hosts exhibiting that they’re just too pleased with themselves. Shirley takes up too much time laughing at her own jokes for sure. The other cast members have followed her into wanting to be too cute whereas the show is meant to be a deep examination of shows and films. I he most layered films of our time and they basically say it’s about a witch (it’s not). I don’t mind an occasional f-bomb but they drop them like the uncool kid who does it to impress others. Worst of all was their assertion that THE WITCH had no metaphors going on; I mean, this is one of tI’m done with this podcast.

More reviews of The Review
This show feels made for me—they cover some of my favorite tv shows and movies. Love the informal, friends-hanging-out vibe, which is just want I want from a podcast. Can’t wait for the new season!

I’m very disappointed in this podcast. The reviewers merely discuss their feelings and offer personal anecdotes instead of an intelligent analysis of the work at hand.

The layout is very straight forward and it is nice to hear a couple different voices/opinions on the same piece of work. Love David Sims! I always appreciate his perspective.
