“Richard “Spanners” Ready is exactly the type of guest that this show needs to take it to the next level (s/o to his Missed Apex pod!). To date, it seems like most guests are self-proclaimed newbies or relying on DTS knowledge; whereas Spanners is a seasoned fan and expert, so he’s capable of bringing new insights.
It seems like this show is going for high-level takes with the guests they invite.
That’s a fine approach, but I’d recommend indicating to listeners that that is what they’re doing, since new fans may not even realize how much more there is to analyze and enjoy about this sport. ALTERNATIVELY (my preference), I’d mix in regular “deep dives” where industry experts are invited as guests. That would help the show meet different listeners where they are. Thanks for putting it together. Always looking for new F1 content.”
