Promising model plagued by lack of knowledge
I like the format of this podcast and they do a great job bringing on a rotation of guests, which a lot of other f1 podcasts don’t bother to do (or don’t have the resources for). However, in general this rarely makes up for the fact that this is a Formula 1 show hosted by casual fans pretending to be journalists of the sport. Even the guests they bring on are sometimes real, knowledgeable experts and sometimes just other hobbyist podcast hosts (essentially stans!) and no distinction is ever made. Why you would bring on Spanners as though he has some kind of insight into Formula 1 trade negotiations is beyond me, but I hope he had fun slandering half the grid and then telling everyone that George Russell can still win the championship. The fact that the latest episode was guest hosted because the actual host was away doing his real job being a real journalist for the NFL sort of says it all. Maybe find people who know more about the sport than the few races they’ve watched for fun since 2020.

More reviews of The Ringer F1 Show
Very rudimentary understanding of the sport and Motorsports in general. There’s probably a dozen better F1 shows out there.

Pretty entertaining podcast until the last ep where Ryan Russillo just barfs out imbecilities… Pro tip…Don’t bring on someone with an infantile understanding of the sport for the climax.

Kevin and Spanners is the winning pod setup. Loving their rave reviews. Great podcast for new fans of F1 and those who began their journey with DTS.
