Strong Narrative, Could Use some Clean Up
The Room Where it Happened has one of the strongest group chemistries I’ve seen in a podcast yet. It’s a shame that constant voice overlap makes it difficult to listen, at times. Overall the story is a modern take on fantasy tropes; Cars instead of Horses, for example. A refreshing new takes, on old expectations. As I listen in to more episodes, it’s clear this story shares more of its DNA with Shadowrun than D&D, which I’ve always felt needs more love. The players involved are clearly fans of each other, and the GM has excellent judgment by letting them get involved in the narrative beyond merely stating what they do. Often they help dictate the results of their successes and failures. A mark of true trust among tabletop rpg players. I hope that future installments of this podcast will see the audio edited in order to avoid the overlap, where it not for it, I would certainly award it 5 stars.

The podcast seems to be recorded at an actual table where the game is played and it really brings out the personalities of the players and the relationship they have outside of the game. Great energy and it really pulls you in and makes you feel...Read full review »
