“I’ve enjoyed The Ruck over a couple of years, but having taken a break from it (since that dreadful episode after an England win in the autumn series) I returned this week, and am sorry but I do not want to listen to (or read) Stephen Jones anymore. I am sure he is a lovely guy in real life, so no offence personally. Thank you to the rest of the team and producers who are trying so hard to sugar-coat the problem of mr. Jones’ hatred of all things Eddie. I love a good rugby chat which encompasses views that are different to mine, and a bit of lively debate too, but I am fed up with Mr. Jones’s broken records about young players and Eddie’s selections. I have also stopped reading the times for the same reason. My 2 star review is purely about Stephen Jones’ input, and doesn’t reflect the hard work put in by everyone else. It could be a 4 as there are some great voices and thinking there with the likes of Mark Evans and Lawrence Dallaglio. With life being pretty hard for a lot of people the last 2 years, we could do with a bit more humility, encouragement and positivity. I will get my rugby fix elsewhere until the coast is clear. All the best to everyone involved.”
