Thought provoking
I enjoyed the interview with Tim Stanley. He articulated a conservative viewpoint which was more culturally conservative rather than explicitly neo-liberal. He comes across as very bright but as bright as he is I still don’t agree with him. Curiously he has both the left and the right as backward looking. Much of his praise of the right seems to stem from how its members are, to him, very witty, caring and tolerant. I get the feeling that his faith is much stronger than his political allegiance. I think what really hooked me was the feeling that this was a reasonable person who one could have a deep discussion with and who would maintain more of an open mind than many political people.
