Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Safety Clothing Made by Women For Women

Description
In the first segment of this episode, Stacey is joined by Jordan Geibig, the Safety Manager for M.C. Dean Inc., a company that builds cyber-physical solutions for mission-critical facilities and global enterprises.  Stacey and Jordan chat about what it’s like working as a woman in construction, and the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Jordan discusses what it was like being discriminated against — for being a woman on a construction site — and then having her employer step up and support her rather than just ignoring the problem.  In the second segment of this episode, Stacey is joined by Melanie Adams, who started a company, Embher (pronounced “ember”), that created the first female-only brand of flame-resistant clothing. Stacey and Melanie’s conversation touches upon how for too long clothes designed for workers in various industries (e.g. the oil industry) were solely designed to fit a man’s body.  Thanks to both Jordan and Melanie for being on our podcast!  Sospes was built to allow employees to connect in safer, more productive workplaces.
