This podcast doesn t work for me at all
I started listening to a couple of topics - as a biochemistry student I usually very much appreciate free podcast and iTunes U offerings in order to repeat the learning matter I got to repeat. However, I personally don t get along with this podcast at all. I think, James speaks way too fast and also his articulation often is incomprehensible. There are no breaks to let sink in what he just said, instead he ramps on and on. Also I feel that his approach isn t very pedagogic, f. i. announcing "I ll repeat this now" and then repeating the sentence or idea he just presented in the EXACT same words is not very useful and rather annoying... if you got the information the first time, you do not need to listen to it another time. If you didn t get it at first, you won t get it when the same wording is used again. I wouldn t recommend this podcast, the presentation style actually made me kind of aggressive and unfocused.Read full review »

Thank you James Fodor for this wonderful series. You've taken a wide range of complicated materials and through your clear explanations given listeners a great gift. Highly recommended for people looking for primers on any of the titled topics!Read full review »

My background is not in science, but I decided to start looking for science-related podcasts after taking a job as an attorney for a chemical company. I have really enjoyed every podcast. He is able to cover a lot of content coherently, and I really enjoy his style of teaching. Highly recommend.
