“I've listened to a couple of these, and it's well made and pretty fun.
The culture these two guys inhabit is pretty different from what I'm used to, and it can be an uncomfortable listen - I think of myself as pretty fearless and think any subjects/language are fair game, but there's a whole Howard Stern-esque approach that's a little alien and harsh to me.
But underneath a blunt instrument approach, Oakerson and Sutton are oddly respectful of their subjects, and at the point in the pilot where they started talking about their unironic appreciations of Bette Midler and Barbara Streisand, I realised they were people I could probably hang out with for the duration of a podcasting hour at a time.
5 stars for quality, but not everybody is going to enjoy it because of the content.”Read full review »
