Best gaming podcast!
I listen to many of the board gaming podcasts out there (the Dice Tower, D6 Generation, Plaid Hat Podcast, to name a few) and I really like them all but hands down my favorite of all time was Game On! with Cody and John. Ever since that ended I've been looking for another podcast that evoked that feeling of friends-sitting-around-talking-about-games that that one did. It wasn't until I recently discovered the Secret Cabal Gaming Podcast that I had finally found what I had been missing. Don't get me wrong. As I said, I really like all the others I mentioned and would rate them all just as highly. But for various reasons I feel like those have a different feeling to them. They all provide a great look into the industry and keep you well informed and entertained. But when I listen to the Secret Cabal I feel like I'm just sitting in a room with friends talking about the games we love. Jaime, Chris, Tony, and Brian are all just regular guys in their thirties who play a lot of games. They are all very intelligent, funny, well spoken, and just all around friendly guys. Between the four of them they like a large variety of games so pretty much everything gets a fair shake (though they tend to lean a little in the Euro direction which is good for me because so do I!). Each episode they have a big review which includes a walkthrough of the game and then an extensive (and often hilarious) discussion of their experiences with it. Following that is typically a look at news around the gaming world (board, role playing, and miniature wargaming) and then one or two major discussion topics. I can't recommend this podcast enough. If you like tabletop games there is a lot here to enjoy!Read full review »

A great cast/balance of founders. Diverse, entertaining not afraid to say they don't like something… not afraid to say they love something. Very easy listening. Maybe one day I'll donate something...Read full review »

The topics, news, and reviews are great - well researched and presented. The reviews provide an in-depth walkthrough of the mechanics and play that gave me great perspective and insight on the tabletop game reviewed.
