This was riveting and so informative. I’ve just learned a lot reading this about the Antarctic.

Holy hell! If you’re going to make a podcast about Antarctica, you should be able to say it correctly.

Every time Stephen says ‘Antartica’ without the first ‘c’ it kills my ears. Indicates lack of knowledge and care. Makes me wonder what else he didn’t bother about. The 12 flags at the SP do NOT surround the South Pole, as he says in Ep.3 They surround the ceremonial barbershop pole used for...Read full review »

I feel like a massive A-hole, but I couldn’t get past 1 minute listening to the presenters speech impediment. I feel the story would of been super interesting but I’ll never know because i simply can’t listen to it while old mate pronounces his R’s as a “W”. Who the hell let this guy present this...Read full review »

Interesting podcast. My only criticism is the pronunciation of Antarctica. The host just doesn’t pronounce the first ‘c’.

Just finished the first 2 seasons. The title of this podcast is a bit deceiving because each season is a different investigative story. The quality of this series is top tier, can’t recommend enough!

would never have been aware of this story. How life on the ice can turn people mad and no one is in charge is amazing and scary ! good place to go if you want to get away with murder.

The Estonia series is very well researched but the consistent conspiracy theories and the producer ignoring any facts that don’t fit into his conspiracy theory quickly become tiring. For example, the simple explanation for not raising the wreck or the bodies was the enormous costs, the danger to...Read full review »

As a Swede I found this very interesting and informative. Thank you for telling this story.
K.Redwood via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 02/16/24
Got into this pod because of it being about Estonia, me being Swedish, although I must say that I find the first season more compelling than the second. The first one is about a plane ”incident” during the Iraq-Kuwait war, of which I have not heard about before, as it is involving no Swedish...Read full review »

Fairly boring podcast, uninteresting stories tepidly told but Holy smokes this host is hilarious So transparent, so bombastic, so self consequential! Such boring reporting, over-directed interviews, such a predictable arc, such gimmicky “podcast” devices! So desperate to be fascinating! Poor...Read full review »

This is one of the most interesting, gripping and informative podcasts I have listened to in a long while. This guy is a brave man for getting to the truth. Thanks Mr Davis.

Very well done. So sad for the families of the dead and the survivors that they still can’t find out the truth.

A great story and great story-telling Stephen.

The first 2 episodes describing the survivors struggles are just amazing. Then you are taken on a journey of incredible depth and intrigue of the mystery surrounding the vessel. I’m only on E4 but felt compelled to share a quick review.

There was also some comic relief in the form of ads for Virgin Cruises before the last episode of the Estonia series, which, rather aptly, looks into the mysterious sinking of a cruise ship. Top ad placement!

Interviews of survivors, but would have liked to have a reference to documents to support.

A beat up that the presenter tries (in vain) on such flimsy and small sample set to make something out of basically his fiction. As any crime related person says, personal recollection is the weakest form of evidence and to then take this some 30 years after the event. A real beat up,...Read full review »

This is one of the best podcasts I have listened to. Brilliant storytelling and investigative journalism told with genuine compassion. What a horrific disaster and utterly shameful how it has been dealt with by the authorities. Well done for not letting this story die and telling it so well.
Maneaux via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/01/23
Interesting topic & investigation overall, BUT the host’s speech impediment is terrible and gets in the way: he is utterly incapable of saying the letter R, meaning you get sentences like ‘Awest Wawant’ and ‘tewwible cwime’ etc, it’s very distracting, someone else should’ve spoken the words....Read full review »

Thank you my dad and I enjoyed this very much to find out the truth after all these years. I am so sad for the victims and appalled this has been covered up. This podcast was nothing short of perfect in terms of production value and storytelling, the journalist has gone through this hellish story himself and should be very proud of the work.
Sstar88 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 12/27/22
Beautifully and respectfully told! You’ve given a voice to the victims. I’m angry too now. How can these survivors not be supported, both financially & emotionally?! More importantly, how could this have ever been allowed to happen in the first place? What a disgrace! Keep fighting the good...Read full review »

Stephen a gripping podcast. So proud of you as a fellow kiwi, to hold on to this story and see you follow it through to the end. You are an inspiration.

A genuinely interesting podcast but I found it a little light on detail and revelation. Much more detail and depth on the men who joined the flight, the Kuwait resistance, how an American civilian ended up running security at the US embassy etc. A bit of a missed opportunity.
