“Drop everything and listen right now! You've come across a gold mine in the Secret Library Podcast. As someone who has dreamed for years of writing a book, this is some of the most helpful insight & information I've been able to find online about how to actually write a book and get it published. Getting to hear directly from the experiences of many successful writers, publishers and designers is supremely educational and interesting. What really makes this podcast work is the monolithic amount of literature Caroline has consumed throughout her life-long passion for the written word and her uncanny ability to fixate on the most interesting details that really draw out the essence of each topic and guest. The literary wit sprinkled through out each episode could only come from such an obsessively well-read book lover. I've discovered about myself from this podcast that I'm a "pantser." I write by the seat of my pants without much planning. I love that about myself. I'm a long time fan of all Caroline Donahue's creative outputs. Years ago she had one of the most helpful and well-written weekly email newsletters called Gearing Up. I still think about how great it was and miss it. (When have you EVER missed an email newsletter...her writing is that awesome.) I want her to #BringBackTheStakeoutPodcast!
