Teachers and ofstead
This episode made me glad my children are grown up and no longer in school. The arrogance of teachers thinking that only they know how to teach. That they always need more resources and teaching assistants. Saying they will not work beyond their 9 to 4 and not on Saturday. They seemed idle and self satisfied. All my family were teachers, my mother used to have classes in excess of 50 children, first year infants. Shortages of books, pens and paper, but no child left her class unable to read or write. Do they think they are the only people inspected? As an accountant I had, in one year, inspections from 4 different bodies. These inspections could determine if the firm would promote you, give you pay rises, pay bonuses or even keep your job. Then clients would be asked to complete questionnaires and if any score was less than 8 out of 10 you had to explain why. Finally, I hope the teacher that kept saying ‘me personally’ does not teach English.

All far too ‘aren’t we ever so funny’ for my liking. The incessant loud laughing at one another’s supposedly funny comments was tiresome. If you’d told me this had been produced by a Year 10 media studies class I’d have suggested not entering them for the GCSE.
