Miss Marple…I can’t believe her comments, its actually disgusting and she shouldn’t be teaching children and influencing their futures as she cares so little

As a mum to 3 boys I very much enjoyed listening to the podcasts. Are you planning on anymore? Would be especially interested in Y10 reluctant learners !

What a brilliant show, I’ve loved listening to it on the way to work. It just shows you that not all teachers are miserable robots but people with their own lives. Really looking forward to series 2! Ignore the bad reviews, just people trying to find something to moan about!

More episodes please! As a new parent about to get into the school years of two your daughters I have thoroughly enjoyed the series and it has given me great insights into the British school system. Mr Jungle, I’m a fan!

What a pity this did not catch on. if it ends at 8 episodes, the loss is everybody's. So it will stay up forever, that people may forever wonder.Read full review »

Great insight into the real life of teachers. I’ve really enjoyed every episode and been so inspired that have even started thinking about becoming a teacher myself! More episodes please :-)

My son has just started working as a teacher, so this has been really interesting (and slightly worrying!) for me. The participants are full of enthusiasm, and their anecdotes are sometimes funny, and sometimes shocking. I am always excited when I get a notification to say the latest episode is...Read full review »

I enjoyed listening to every single episode. A simple but hugely relevant idea, brilliantly hosted. I look forward to hearing more episodes.

This podcast is interesting, refreshing and highly energetic. I listen to it each week and find myself laughing out loud one minute and shocked to the core the next! Well done to all involved. Thumbs up from me! 👍

Really enjoyed this series, very interesting perspective from a teacher’s point of view & very honest opinions, great work! Especially liked Miss To-the-Point & Miss Marple. Hopefully hear more from them all next term!!!

Best podcast

I honestly think something like this is completely overdue. Granted, some of the views expressed might not be to your taste, or constitute 'moaning', or whatever else. But what overrides all of that is that this reminds us all that teachers are just human beings, like the rest of us, and...Read full review »

Please let there be no more parents evenings. As a parent I hate them. A zoom one where the teacher gets cut off would be great!

I have found the range of views discussed in this podcast really interesting. Some of the reviews mention being uncomfortable with some of the ideas expressed, but healthy debate and neutrality is what the BBC is about and is also what is needed to drive education forward. It has changed my...Read full review »

Terrible! Awful childish giggling throughout. Poor sound quality for a BBC production.

This episode made me glad my children are grown up and no longer in school. The arrogance of teachers thinking that only they know how to teach. That they always need more resources and teaching assistants. Saying they will not work beyond their 9 to 4 and not on Saturday. They seemed idle and...Read full review »

Please don’t call yourself UK representative when you’re not. Disappointed that any good points you may be making are negated by forgetting that some nations schools have been back for much longer and that their views and experiences are not being considered or represented. 5 episodes in and as...Read full review »

As a teacher, I found this podcast absolutely great. It is funny but still delves into serious topics. Even though it may be based for current/former teachers, I think it is great for others too as everyone can learn something from it. A real range of voices too. It is great to listen to a host...Read full review »

Please stop wingeing! Bring us some actual insight, differing opinions and healthy debate. Thanks

Have listened to others in this series but could not listen until the end of the episode as I found some of the views expressed really hard to listen to. Having had some direct experience of a teenager with serious mental health problems who received very varying levels of support from teachers...Read full review »

So slow to start with, all those introductions are so boring and fake laughter. Made me laugh how important the teachers think they are.

The standout teacher so far has been Mr Jungle, bring him back from the rainforest!

I’m really enjoying this podcast but feel that more input is needed from older teachers and teachers in primary school.

So funny! Good topics too and excellent contributions. Great choice of host. So refreshing to have an actual teacher as a host ! Loving the anecdotes.

A cleverly structured - clearly, there is a teacher’s mind at work here - heart-warming, inspiring new podcast. Recommendable not just for teachers, but also parents and even students. If all our schoolteachers are this conscientious, generous and funny, are children are in excellent hands.

As someone who works in schools in the US, it’s interesting to hear that teachers in England are having pretty much the exact same issues we are.

Fantastic podcast! As a teacher in the states, the Secret Life of Teachers really demonstrates the universality of the teaching profession and the situations we find ourselves in every day.

Very funny and insightful.

All far too ‘aren’t we ever so funny’ for my liking. The incessant loud laughing at one another’s supposedly funny comments was tiresome. If you’d told me this had been produced by a Year 10 media studies class I’d have suggested not entering them for the GCSE.
