Didn't add anything to the experience
Although the personalities involved are interesting , the hosts are not well-prepared. They casually listened to the podcast and it showed in that they got a lot of things wrong. So they based their very decided opinions on misinformation on more than one occasion. One occasion was truly a giant mistake and they later admitted to that. It's an interesting podcast if you want to see confirmation bias in action though. Also, there is part of it that is distastesful, although I probably shouldn't complain about anything related to The Onion for being too flip. However, there were multiple times when -- while complaining that Sarah Koenig wasn't being enough of investigative journalist -- all participants entirely lost sight of the fact that a girl was murdered...and they also seem to think a lot of the fall out from that is just fodder for jokes. They're all bright, talented and funny, but they picked the wrong subject matter here and it's often borderline offensively flip.Read full review »

I had a hard time listening to this podcast because one of the hosts uses the word like to much. I think the dude could carry the show himself.
Spaulding. via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/30/14
8 minutes into Episode 2 and I'm done. They constantly comment on Koenig's "journalism skills" while their own comments are biased opinions based on the research she has done. How much worse could this podcast get?Read full review »
