I listen to true crime podcasts constantly. Top of the bar is In The Dark and Serial. I would say this podcast is right up there. Extremely well done. Quite shocking how blatant all this stuff was. Episode 9 when all the cops start turning on one another was jaw dropping. Don’t worry, that...Read full review »

It’s a story as relevant 30 years ago as it is today. Well reported and edited, this is a great show!

This podcast is SO good!!! Very addictive! Really well edited and told. Loved the punchy cliff hangers at the end of every episode.

Excellent story and storytelling. One angle that was not addressed that I would love to see in a future series is how easily people seem to accept that these men were good people who made bad choices due to their circumstances, while this same compassion is not afforded to so many who do not...Read full review »

Excellent podcast . Second to the corrupt cops, and in some ways more damaging, Morganthau and his lackey Kasselman . Kasselman is the epitome of what’s wrong with bureaucracy and listening to him in this podcast is infuriating. It’s not about credit and personal vendetta’s , it’s about getting...Read full review »

I liked everything about The Set, fantastic production and thorough research all add to a gripping story that you’ll want to listen to in as few sittings as possible. Highly recommended.

The series is good and entertaining. For me there are just too many holes where information isn’t given. I understand time is limited but if you want to give a story then seems you’d give the whole story.

This is one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to in years. I was hooked from the very beginning. It’s like The Wire, The Departed, Law & Order, and the Sopranos all in one. NYPD corruption will never go away. NYPD officers come from the same communities, neighborhoods, gangs and culture as NYC criminals, they are the one and the same. However it always makes good journalism to continue to push the idea NYPD corruption can be eliminated.

Can get a little confusing with all the players in the story so definitely not a podcast you can mindlessly listen to while doing chores, etc.

This program had me glued to my headphones for 2 days. Well put together. Far better than scripted fiction, it’s a real slice of life. People trapped in a vortex and sucked down into the sewer. Makes you wonder how you would react in those circumstances. I’ll be looking more from these producers....Read full review »

Originally listened with little interest. I guess it’s a side effect of the trillions of podcasts out there; there isn’t an expectation of greatness anymore. As the series goes along I became more and more enthralled with the story. I’m now at the point where I’m scrolling through my feed to...Read full review »
