Reflections on our first reflections
I really can't get enough of this. Sure, it’s “about” gay culture, but it’s really about what where we first saw ourselves. It’s about what cultural elements and entertainment we first identified with as gay men, and the cultures we embraced and the cultures which embraced us. IN what popular entertainment did you first see a reflection of who you thought you might be? What light turned out to be the crack in your closet door? It’s about that. And coming out stories.
