…but seriously want to know if this man is alive! The helicopter story made ZERO SENSE! I can’t believe authorities just accepted that! Well written, produced and told!

An enjoyable listen until Episode 8, at that point all journalistic integrity falls apart. The host’s normally calm and thoughtful tone degenerates into high pitched nonsense in the final two episodes as all thoughts of a balanced and inquisitive seeking of the truth is upended. This approach...Read full review »

Fascinating story told very well. But I can’t believe the audio engineer decided on an incredibly loud and obnoxious chime, about a billion times more powerful than all the soft speaking, was a good idea to demarcate the (few) advertising segments.

For listeners in search of more in depth, long-form pieces, this podcast fits the bill perfectly. I listen solely to programmes relating to scams, long cons, financial crimes and similar, but struggle to enjoy short, stand-alone episodes, where a story can only ever be treated rather...Read full review »

現実に起こったことが、信じられないくらいです。語りも落ち着いているし、聞きやすいです。真相は闇の中。続きに期待しています。

Just listen one episode at a time. It’s very well written and researched. A crazy moment in our time.

Factual case, that is dramatised to engage the listener.

The plot moves slowly as the narrator’s voice has no character and just puts you to sleep. Didn’t believe this story could be so boringly told.

From the narrator of “Sold a Story” comes the sequel “Can’t Finish a Story”. This was a really great podcast, right up until the climax and denouement turned out to be subscription only. Turns out de Guzman wasn’t the only guy scammin’.

Suzanne tells a great story that had me hanging on every word!

This reads like a complex mystery novel. The interviews give the quality of switching between third and second person perspective in a way that really adds to the intrigue. It had me on the edge of my seat in such a way that I forgot it was a Podcast and not an audiobook novel. I will not spoil...Read full review »

Such a good podcast. Well done and intriguing.

My main gripe is a pet peeve. The narrator mispronounced (badly) the name of one of the companies involved (Freeport McMoran). This is a US company that was involved in the story. It still exists and is active in mining. I feel confident that anyone involved at the time would have known the...Read full review »

Incredible characters and colorful story. Much better than the Hollywood movie Gold, which was inspired by this case.

This is a fantastic and gripping story, you might think it fiction, but it is not. Twentyfive years ago, the mining world was rocked by a $6 billion gold salting scandal. A crew of corrupt Filipino geologists, working in a remote location in Central Borneo for a small Canadian mining company...Read full review »

Even if you think you know the BreX story, this is a must listen. Never before heard details and inside information from Suzanne Wilton’s investigative journey. Exceptional.

I love this show, I was involved with a guy called Ronald Stanley Byrom, look him up on Microsoft Copilot. A born swindlers, well I got involved in a business with him dealing in copper tubing. The issue was that there wasn't any. When I found out, and departed pronto, I called it fopper...Read full review »

This is an incredible story with twists and turns, deceit, death, and a mystery at the heart of it. Journalist Suzanne Wilton went into the jungle two decades ago to find the truth. No one else could tell this story like she has here.

I thought I knew the Bre-X story until I binged this podcast. Amazing storytelling and voicing by Suzanne Wilton. New interviews and details keep drawing you in. Polished production. Season 2 please! The search for Michael.
