Noor means LIGHT
I knew a lot about the SOE, the female agents, and Khan before the podcast. I knew what was coming and it still had me on the edge of my seat. And you had me in a flood of tears at the end. Absolutely “brutaful,” as the saying goes. The Man who saved MI5… GAAAHHHH!!! So interesting and riveting. Going to have to wait to listen to the 007 and bin Laden episodes because I CAN NOT be disturbed with other conversations while listening. So engrossing. The History is handled well, the narrators are two of my favorite actors, and it’s just one of the finest podcasts I’ve ever listened to.

More reviews of The Spy Who
I found myself stopping and expressing a deeply felt, “oh no” when we learnt where Nora when on the train is going in the final episode…I went there 45 years ago as a young Jewish girl just beginning to understand what happened to my ancestors. Very moving.

Half spy novel, half documentary, this series gives a wonderful account of one of WW2’s very important figures, Duško Popov, who remains unknown even to most history buffs.

Only two episodes available on iPad. Granted they were interesting but nothing to follow!
