“Overall: Behind the Steel Curtain is a very organized and consistent podcast that puts out quality and up-to-date content. All of the hosts bring something unique to the shows and very interesting angles. There are clear, genuine friendships between them and the excellent rapour is palpable which makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable while listening. Some of the previous reviews complain of a poor audio quality which has been long resolved as any donations made to the show go to ensuring each of the hosts have a clear sound quality and video qulaity if watching on YouTube. All of the hosts put in a lot of time to create articles for the website and host these podcasts which average 5-7 episodes a week.
Jeff Hartman is the editor of the Behind the Steel Curtain website and organizes the podcasts and does a wonderful job. He is a host on many of the shows and does a great job on "Steelers Burning Question" where he answeres a critical question about the team by himself with involvement from the YouTube live chat. I love Jeff's logical analysis and clear cut view on things. He is very optimistic about the Steelers which is very refreshing.
Lance Williams is the co-host with Jeff Hartman on the "Standard is the Standard" weekly show and solo host of "Yeah I said it". Lance is Jeff's foil on the "Standard is the Standard" as he is often more pessimistic about the Steelers. This critical view is key as a fan to take of the rose colored glasses and really see what needs to be done. Lance is also very comical in his podcasts with his different analogies and nicknames for player.
Dave Schofield is one of the hosts on the "Steelers Preview" with Jeff Hartman and Bryan Anthony Davis and solo hosts the "Steelers Stat Geek" where he breaks down the Steelers stats from the previous week and sets some hopeful stats for the week to come. As Lance calls Dave the "Oracle" of all Steelers knowledge, Dave is very knowledgable about the game and much of Steelers history. He is a statistic oriented guy which I appreciate very much. He also has a really awesome Kylo Ren Steelers mask that he has made himself.
Bryan Anthony Davis is a host on previous mentioned podcasts as well as a co-host on the "Steelers Hangover" with Tony Defeo. Bryan is a very happy guy which can be very contagious as he talks with Jeff, Dave or Tony. He is a good sport about his slip-ups on the show such as when he called the end-zone the touchdown-zone and everyone else has not let him forget it. Bryan can get serious, and when he does, his analysis are very on-point and eye-opening.
Toney Defeo appears on the "Steelers Hangover" with Bryan and I love this guy. I wish he would appear on more shows as I do like the interesting insights he brings to the show. He also knows a lot about Steelers history and is very up-to-date with the guys on the roster and how they are performing.
As mentioned on the title of this review, this podcast is what every Pittsburgh Steelers fan needs. This is a show run by die-hard fans who love the game. I love their passion and their committment to giving every fan what they need. Great show, and thank you so much guys!”Read full review »

“How do you send that podcast out with all that terrible interference and think that people would keep listening? You should have did it over. Quality has to be a consideration.”
