Giovanna Castiglioni: sharing the playful ways of her father, Achille Castiglioni
Listen now
Description
In this episode, we speak with Giovanna Castiglioni – daughter of the legendary Italian designer, Achille Castiglioni. We couldn’t be in person for this episode as Giovanna is based Milan where she runs and curates the Fondazione Achille Castiglioni, which she co-founded in 2006. Giovanna initially pursued a degree in Geological Sciences, but she has dedicated her career to preserving and promoting her father's design legacy. Giovanna has a unique approach and engages a global audience through dynamic workshops to promote the ‘Castiglioni Method’ of design. During the pandemic, she kept the Fondazione’s mission alive through remote learning and live sessions on social media, as well as producing a flipbook series called ‘Castiglioni in 2 seconds’. If you would like to sign the petition to help keep the Fondazione in its original location, please click here.
