Love the podcast, but about James Gunn...
I really appreciate what you have done for the DCEU fandom and it's community, and managing to be informative in a fun and entertaining way. There is a LOT of negativity in both the DCEU and MCU fandoms, and I like having a fairly unbiased source of info for what's going on. I just have an issue with your comments about James Gunn writing and directing Suicide Squad 2. This isn't meant as a call out or a "gotcha!", it's just something that kind of bothered me. Obviously James Gunn's situation is... controversial to say the least. And I understand being offended about what he said in those tweets. Those tweets were unfunny and pretty obviously awful. I think any rational person could agree on that. However, you two seemed kind of unenthusiastic about James Gunn joining the project because of these tweets. But at the end of the day, they were just bad jokes. I can't remember which of you said this, but I do remember one of you pointing out that, as much as they were in awful taste, James Gunn has not been accused of any pedophilic behavior or sexual misconduct by any actual people. Now here is where my problem lies. After the sexual harassment allegations came out against Ben Affleck, you two still seemed pretty keen on the idea of him coming back as Batman at least one more time. Affleck was accused by a multitude of women for groping them at the Golden Globes, which as far as I can tell he hasn't commented on, but a further allegation against him was by Hilary Burton when footage of him groping her breast on TRL a decade ago surfaced. He acknowledged and apologized for that incident, but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter. I know he has suffered from alcohol addiction, and as someone with an alcoholic parent, I know first hand that addiction is a disease and a change in behavior is a symptom of it. But that doesn't excuse the fact he took advantage of at least one woman. Again, I'm not trying to give a hot take or be confrontational. I love your podcast. However, my point is that I feel there is a double-standard here, and I have to admit that I don't understand why. I just don't get why your reactions to James Gunn and Ben Affleck's respective transgressions are that different. No matter what your answer is, I'm going to continue to be an avid listener and fan of yours. I would just like to get some clarfication. (Also sorry in advance for any information I might've gotten incorrect).Read full review »

This is by far one of my favorite podcasts. It's clear that the show is put together each week by a group of guys who do it purely out of love for comics and the genre. The conversations are well thought out, insightful, and there's little to no bickering/drama, etc...a big plus for me!...Read full review »
