“10 mins of ads is audacious, it made listening to episodes frustrating. Otherwise, great reporting! Would’ve given more stars, but the ads were too much…”

“I’m always amazed at the relationships and access that skilled podcasters can achieve with their subjects. They have to establish respect and trust without compromising the story. This is a solid example that got me listening to the whole thing in one go.

“An entertaining and enlightening case study on narcissism. The host, David Weinberg, does an incredible job giving Ben Fodor the opportunity to paint himself in a favorable light, but you can’t change a person’s nature. Fodor’s unrelenting self-centered personality paired with his complete lack...”Read full review »

“Stop listening after 20 minutes when half of it was adverts, including 3 adverts within that time for House of Dragon. If I wasn’t interested after the first advert, why would I be after the 3rd?”

“This is an awesomely compelling podcast full of colorful 3 dimensional real life charecters. It is put together with a great sense of comedy and tragedy that keeps the listener’s attention. It would be hard to fall asleep to this! The questions of how much good real superheroes do? And is...”Read full review »

“I wrote a pretty long review and accidentally deleted it. I had only vaguely remembered these guys while listening until I googled them and saw a picture, and it was like a memory was plucked from my brain and I was brought right back in to this nostalgic time when I first heard of them as a...”Read full review »

“This podcast is exciting, crazy and amazing!! The amount of research put into this ‘cast is kind bugling! For everyone who had a dream of being a super hero as a child (most of us just grew up lol) Very recommendable”
“This is an incredible story all about the Seattle superhero movement, Phoenix Jones and the mentality of a real life superhero. Absolutely fascinating journey to present day and really takes turns you may not expect. Worth a listen”

“This was a great listen, well put together. Not sure where all the 1 star reviews are coming from, seems suspicious even. Could imagine Phoenix Jones wasn’t too happy how he was portrayed but it seemed fair to me.”
“I can’t believe y’all people up there in Seattle didn’t beat that crap out of this narcissistic man child years ago. What a hypocritical lying jerk, I about died laughing when I listened to the last episode and he told the story about his son taking down a criminal. I did enjoy this podcast...”Read full review »

“High production values, feels more like a docuseries than a podcast. I had no idea about these ‘real super hero’s’ beyond that movie with Dwight from The Office, but it’s crazy learning all about them and the most infamous of them all Phoenix Jones. He’s a character. Charismatic and smart but was...”Read full review »

“This podcast saved my life. I was just getting ready to hit the streets of NYC as a super hero. Trampolines set up all over the city ready to jump on some villains. Then I heard this podcast and I was like nah. The real heroes are the podcasters like Davis Weinberg and he’s been trampoline free...”Read full review »

“This podcast is really well done but good lord is Phoenix Jones unlikable.
Edit: I’m unable to finish this show. Phoenix Jones is such a pathetic loser. Brutal to listen to.”

“I do like it but we’re at episode 6 & it really just feels intentionally padded out.
I’m also concerned that this series isn’t going to address the Fodor’s narcotics charges.
We’ll see but I can’t see why Fodor would agree to this.”
“Really enjoying this so far! It’s a fun insight into the crazy world real life superheroes which I didn’t know existed. Really interesting characters and also love the music. Nice to listen to a documentary podcast that isn’t all doom and gloom and murders.”
