Phenomenal amount of cognitive dissonance in this podcast. For instance, not comparing the bad actions of Goldman Sachs during the “financial crisis” (re: rigging the system) with Lukas’ actions (re: rigging the system) is mind-bendingly ludicrous. Lukas was a product of the system, and he...Read full review »

Listened to it in just a few sessions… brilliantly produced and a compelling human story… this is definitely one to listen to.

But I found the early episodes a bit repetitive - going over the same parts of the story again and again.

Great journalism and inquiry Greed ego entitlement influence and coercion all in one.

I thought the story was amazing, but we know pretty much all of the details of the crime in episode one. There was zero suspense and no reveal. The twist was not what I would describe as a plot twist… Not exactly a surprising revelation. I limped to the end of this series. Sorry folks.

Great job! Really enjoyable and well done. Great host

I really enjoyed this pod! I hadn’t heard about this story when it happened so it was very interesting to hear it unfold. The host is easy to listen to and the production is great. I liked the 30 odd minute episodes and the fact there were less than 10. A great pod to listen to when you need a...Read full review »

Absolutely riveting, adept interviewing with the top in their field, well researched and solidly pulled together with no sensationalism given the scale of their crime. Despite all he has endured, Chris Hill remains quite patently remorseful for his part - all the attributes of a good human being....Read full review »

Good podcast although it paints a very compassionate picture of white collar crime. I guess it’s a reflection on how we view it as a society.

Angus Grigg and his team created a podcast that was open in its tone, didn’t crowd the story with too many points of view and allowed the listener to respond to Chris and Lucas’s stories. A bit too much repetition for me but that’s my only irritation.

This was one of my favorite podcasts of 2021, so well written. I got so involved in the story I literally cried during the 7th episode. Chris seems like a great person and hearing him talk about this and how he never spoke a bitter word about Luke says a lot. Good job!

This was a terrific series from start to finish. Whether one respects Chris personally or not, it’s hard not to respect his bravery in coming on the show to tell his side of the insider trading scandal that rocked Australia. Lukas remains an enigma, and frankly, I’m still surprised that Chris...Read full review »

Incredible story told with integrity and empathy. Angus asked all the questions I wanted answered. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire series, thanks to all for putting it together, was completely hooked.

Excellent Podcast and very well researched. The fact that Chris has taken the time to be interviewed multiple times shows that he is willing to take ownership of his part in the scheme, the same cannot be said for Lukas Kamay. He has remained silent effectively since the news broke back in 2014....Read full review »

I found the premise very exciting and was looking forward to it. But it ended up a puff piece excusing the selfish decisions made by Chris and was astonished he thought he deserved another chance at a financial career. Do something else mate.

I really enjoyed this podcast. True crime is my fav genre but sometimes it’s nice to take a break from violent ones and listen to an intricate case of financial crime. The fact that one of the criminals agreed to such an in-depth and hard hitting series of questions really makes this a really...Read full review »

Binged the podcast. Fascinating insight into insider trading and an interesting reflection on the cost of crime and societies ability to allow those who have served their time re-enter the community.

This was such a brilliant podcast series. Great story, lessons and access to key people in interviews. Access all areas pass. Even my kids loved listening to it.

Great story, told so well with lots of angles and experts but not hard to follow along with at all! Very interesting to get to know the individuals so well and watch their stories develop. Would recommend for anyone after an interesting listen!!

Really engaging and interesting characters. Only criticism is that the narrator spends too much time trying to get Chris to say he was betrayed - he makes the point over and over again
bogancardoons via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 08/22/21
This is a really interesting story of insider trading but also gave good insight into the two guys behind it, Chris and Lucas. I liked how Chris told the story how it actually happened, and didn’t try to put a spin on it or make himself look like the victim. He came across as a genuine person.

Great insight into the characters involved. It’s a sad story for Chris, but I hope he’s able make a good life for himself.

If you like true crime that’s base on what actually happened and not the opinion of the journalist, then this is for you. Direct, to the point and real!

What a fantastic podcast - it was put together so well. I loved how they incorporated interviews with those who were involved in the case, provided background on insider trading for those who weren’t too familiar with the concept and hearing from Chris. Thank you for a GREAT listen!

Angus is a great author, awesome podcast great story what a humble guy Chris is he stuffed up, done his time owned it, he can move on with his head held high unlike Lucas who will probably never learn, greedy spoilt brat who would throw his own family in the firing line for greed.

Glad Chris got an opportunity to move forward in finance. It’s clear he was (as put in PC) thrown under a bus by a young man who shows no remorse. He was sly and manipulative & his demeanour says it all. As u said on podcast still living a high life instead of lying low. Clearly a spoilt kid...Read full review »

From the first episode it’s just a story that keeps on giving. I’m almost sorry it finished after the 7th episode. It’s worth the time to just listen to this story. So well told, presented and put together. Great material I can almost see the movie (but the podcast will be the best)

A fascinating story that gave a whole new level of understanding of white collar crime and the perpetrators. Great starting point also for the debate on giving former inmates and opportunity of the second chance. Loved it

As someone who has no interest at all in white collar crime, stock market or financial trading, I was absolutely fascinated by this story. The story was well-told, and the complexities were explained in a way that made this very accessible.

This was an amazing podcast. Bravo to all involved! Chris - I was very impressed with your openness and your ability to just own your crime. The last episode brought a tear to my eye, because you definitely deserve a second chance.

I was into this in the beginning. Aside for the spin/angle about making Chris out to be almost blameless, I was interested. But honestly, this is at most a 4 part series, could even been 3. There’s not a lot going on after ep 2 honestly… it wasn’t for for the sympathy card the presenters are...Read full review »
