“Just started checking out survival podcast and have listened to TSP for a few weeks. Jack clearly cares about his subject and works very hard to provide up-to-date relevant information and guest. Some reviews have complained about the sound quality but after listening to other podcast Jack's sound quality is some of the best. I have also read other reviews complain about the housekeeping segments. Also not a problem as you lose about 5 minutes of an hour long +/- show. Compared to other survival podcast Jack is clearly ahead of the curve.
Now the con's....I agree with another review on the language. Depending on the episode the four letter words can go from non-existent to prevalent. Some people may not be bothered by their use but to me its a distration from the great material Jack provides. I just subscribe to the thought that these four letter words are not necessary to express oneself and our society has lowered its standards by integrating them into the daliy lexicon. Also, the podcast can take a turn into the poltical relm. Not anywhere near the Alex Jones/Infowars level but more than I want to listen to on a survival podcast. When I find one of Jack's podcast drifting into politics I will skip it and move on.
Overall, this is an very good podcast and the host clearly puts in the work & effort to make it worth your time. My opinion, review the list, pick the topics you want or need, stay away from the poltical subject matter, and don't listen in the car with the kids with you (language) and enjoy!”Read full review »
