“This podcast has really grown on me and I have been binge listening lately. I'm very new to podcasting but one of the things I know I love are hosts who have interesting voices and sound conversational. Not a big fan of "Morning Zoo" or "NPR" sounding shows. And The Sweep Spot does not disappoint. Host Lynn has a very earnest, soothing, almost hypnotic voice...often described as monotone but infused with a constant hum of pleasant enthusiasm. I love how nice his commentary is, never mean spirited or snarky...honestly I don't think I've ever come across a media personality like his and he does a great job as host. He will often just completely get out of the way of the guests and you can tell he is enjoying what he is hearing right along with you. Ken the cohost has a wonderful gravely voice, to my ear it manages to recall film director Richard Donner, talk show legend Johnny Carson, and a dash of "Anger"(Lewis Black)from the Disney-Pixar film Inside Out. He "plays" a curmudgeon on the show, but deep down you can tell he's just as sweet as Lynn. Which makes sense since they are both former Disneyland Custodians. Disney Custodians are some of the friendliest cast members you will ever meet at Disneyland or Disney World and they definitely fit the mold. Listening to this show during my commute or when I'm working at my desk is like when you are stuck waiting for a parade but time passes okay because you are having a great time talking to the friendly street sweepers.
