Great journalism
I really valued this careful and in-depth podcast which tries to present the facts of what happened at the Tavistock, as well as giving space to a range of voices. There are some opinions that grated with me, but that suggests that this pod was indeed “balanced”. I felt the presenter allowed the listener to make up their own mind about certain viewpoints — such as that of the mother so desperate to stop her child transitioning. I’m a firm supporter of trans people, as well as a Clinical Psychologist who previously worked for over a decade in the NHS, and felt this podcast did a good job of cutting through the tabloid noise and exploring what really happened to an overwhelmed NHS service caught in a culture war.
