The selection of guests in framing the first episode’s topic on homelessness was a perfect balance. I especially enjoyed hearing from Rev.Bales who brought the pathos, the essence of what is at stake: human suffering. This podcast is well-crafted to provide listeners with a depth of understanding of all the factors at play. I look forward to listening to a follow up on how Judge Carter’s orders play out.

We enjoy listening to The Times Podcast, with host Gustavo Arellano, who is an excellent writer. He also does a great job hosting this current topic, often California centered show. A wide variety of things are discussed with knowledgeable guests in a low key manner that widens my understanding....Read full review »

Learned of Gustavo on the Fifth Column. Gave this podcast a shot. Love Gustavo, but the reporting is utterly one-sided and slanted. Just needs more variety of perspectives.
