Absolutely love the pod but please stop the Uber ads. Not because of their practices but because the voice of the person on them is so loud and annoying

Pretty good. Times is a bit of its own echo chamber at times. Please get rid of odious Uber adverts since they have been found guilty of massive illegal activity and corrupt practices

The one where Matt, Alice Thompson and Carol Lewis whine on like stroppy teenagers.

Have previously really enjoyed Matt Chorley’s shows plus the Red Box email - but increasingly , two commentators each day, seem to be there to mutually back each other rather than to offer opposing or even slightly opposing views.Rachel Sylvester & David Aronovitch should be writing for The...Read full review »

This is the daily highlights of Matt Chorley’s Times Radio show, which broadcasts on Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 13:00. However, this doesn’t really do it justice, because it’s not just some random selection of ‘best bits’ from the show - it has a proper format to it. First, the section of...Read full review »

Excellent Podcast...couldn’t do without it. HOWEVER I have noticed Matt becoming more and more anti Tory. Of course this is the same with various BBC presenters as well...indeed the BBC in general....Fiona Bruce a case in point. Bring back the Dimblebys and Andrew Neals where it was far more...Read full review »

Much depends on the columnists who are on - Aronovitch and Finkelstein consistently good, for instance and I have got used to Matt Chorley’s blokeish delivery - which I quite like. Drop the focus group item - it was awful just now PS. The question by question analysis today of PMQs with Patrick...Read full review »

At last I have got around to writing a review for this wonderful podcast. The balance of humour and information is so well judged. Love the hosting by Matt and all the fantastic “pairings”. Libby Purves my all time favourite!

Great analysis with a range of subjects covered, Matt does a superb job of hosting. Keep up the great work.

I don’t know if I was just in a good mood but this last episode ‘keep it in the family’ was across the board really good. Top guests who were lovely to listen to mat let them shine. Really good stuff guys.

The episode on the Spring Statement focuses on the cost of living increases which is directly related to the cost of energy. Not one comment made on the elephant in the room- the reason energy has become so expensive is the failure of wind and solar and other green energy sources to reduce energy...Read full review »

Love the Red Box podcast - it's funny, entertaining, and informative. Easy to listen to but packed with information, I feel like I've caught up on all the news when I've listened, and often picked up a bit of history too. Thumbs up.Read full review »

Just the right length to get informed and exercised at the same time Great show

Matts programme is my choice of listening during the morning when I get the chance. But having a podcast of the columnists and the main feature makes up for missing the whole show. Consistently entertaining with the columnist and diverse on the features.

Love this podcast. Used to work in British politics in a previous life and then I changed field and moved to the US. Red Box is amazing

Listening to Matt Chorley and his guest columnists makes my life slightly but nonetheless perceptibly better.

A great way to stay on top of UK politics and also hear interesting ideas and views from a range of journalists and guests. Sometimes it can be a little silly but always makes the listener stop and think about big ideas and trends in politics.

The highlight of my day! Having worked in politics in a previous life but now living abroad, it’s so refreshing to be able to listen to such informed, intelligent discussions. Matt Chorley is Tigger, keeps positive whatever’s happening. The pairs of columnists always entertaining, developing the themes from the columns they have written for that day. My favourite Knight at the Marriott, Thursdays.

A really pleasing blend of analysis and comment from journalists who have researched and considered what they are talking about in advance of opening their mouths. Fiona Hill sounds out of touch and prone to snobbery referring to smoking and the red wall thing. No chemistry between her and James F and Matt Chorley- cringing.. Otherwise it would be a 5*

The chats with the journalists are definitely worthwhile. But I’m afraid Messrs Aronavaitch and Finklestein have perfect voices for print journalism. I don’t understand why Times Radio persists with parading the lugubrious and nasal voices of Danny Finkelstein and David Aronavitch, and in any...Read full review »

I subscribed to this show, hoping to hear some well-informed, objective political analysis. Sadly, Matt Chorley and his columnist guests appear to be poorly researched and far too politically prejudiced to produce a decent programme. It sounds like a desperate attempt to be the GB News podcast....Read full review »

Why aren’t podcast producers capable of making each segment the same volume, including the sections previewing other shows? Alternately unintelligible and deafening. It’s a common problem but this podcast is guiltier than most. Presenter and content is great, production poor. It can’t be that...Read full review »

Please sort out your sound levels. No sooner than I adjust sufficient to hear what’s being said, the sound level boosts to max on the podcast and leaves my ears ringing. Used to listen to this regularly but the patronising tone really started to grate. I just don’t think these people understand Brits at all, certainly not the vast majority of us anyway. Just so condescending in their views and pandering to every government whim. Unsubscribed.

I started listening to the podcast during lockdown and it is now one of the pleasures of my day. It is informative, interesting and it makes me laugh out loud. I am delighted that it now broadcasts 5 days instead of 4. Well done Matt Chorley.

Not sure why the production team find it so hard to provide better sound. Too quiet, often distorted, Matt’s slight mumble doesn’t help. Totally out of step with the public on taking the knee/Priti Patel issue. Cutting at your pearls as well as clutching at straws this week

Not the best of the current affairs podcasts, and the fault is glaring. The panel discussion that precedes the main event is an opportunity for some silly B list commentators to grandstand. Well, I was hoping for some balanced coverage of PMQ’s but had to endure 45min of sniping attacks on the PM. Should just save us all the time and rename this the Labour Party Fanclub. Matt Chorley is great but some of the Times columnists he has on are terrible. They write very eloquently but on the podcast they can barely string a sentence together. One in particular sounds like a posh Vicky Pollard: yeah but no but like er you know er like. Shocking!
