“Our politicians remind me of rabbits caught in car headlights staring out at an oncoming catastrophe unable to decide what to do next. These journalists appear equally perplexed.
It seems to me we are about to face the consequences of a series of judgements made over the last 20 years. BREXIT, housing policy, PFI, the student loans scheme, Scottish devolution and now independence, pension underfunding, etc etc etc.
Week after week this discussion is preoccupied with gossip concerning the internal wars going on in our political parties and its getting a bit boring. It seems to difficult for them to debate what (if anything) went wrong. They just seem to agree with each other that nobody seeme to know what to do now. Yawn.”
