After his feature film, Surge, director Aneil Karia returned to a short film project and it seems to have paid off in terms of exposure and reward as The Long Goodbye, Karia’s collaboration with Riz Ahmed, is now nominated for Best Short Film at the 94th Academy Awards. The 1980 comedy 9 to 5 had enormous appeal with moviegoers, but also made a statement about women’s inequality in the workplace, a statement that’s needed reiterating ever since then. The film had an impact on twin brothers Gary and Larry Lane, who head the team behind Still Working 9 to 5, a new documentary about the making and legacy of the classic film. The great 2016 documentary Strike a Pose, which explores the lives of the dancers from Madonna's Blond Ambition tour after the madness of the tour ended, is back in virtual cinemas! To celebrate Truth or Dare's 30th anniversary and the re-release of Strike a Pose, director Reijer Zwaan and dancer Kevin Stea spilled their own truths on Paul Preston and guest co-host Mary Gent about bringing the dancers and gay icons back together and the emotion that came with it.
