Great interview Amol with Frank Skinner. I’ve listened twice. Love the pod.

I am extremely thankful for this programme. Nick and Amol deliver an informative, impartial, thoughtful and layered podcast that unpacks the events of the week in such a way that you feel you’ve just happened upon two generous experts in a coffee shop.

@Amol makes this podcast and is entertaining and informative with a great history of being part of a problem page section where each part of someone’s problem is shown in a photograph (probably News of the World) and he was one of the models in the photo! A boy has to earn a crust somehow!! Oh,...Read full review »

Wonderful stuff. Makes me feel more informed and uplifted, as does the music. This podcast plus Today, Americast, Jeremy Vine and PM worth the license fee alone - maybe we can scrap the TV bit! Why can’t we review on BBC sounds? Thanks C

I love these podcasts. Informative, thought provoking and provocative in challenging ’norms’. There is a great chemistry between Nick and Amol and they seem totally at ease with one another. Keep them coming😊

Know wonder the media is considered worse than politicians, it promotes scum like Tony Blair show.

For me, the differentiator that makes this the very best podcast on topical news is the rapport and genuine inquisitiveness of Amol and Nick (of course reflected in the superb support provided by the pod squad). I feel that each episode and every question is journalistic and exploratory,...Read full review »

Pantomime politics seems to have bred pantomime presenting. This insistence on treating politics as a parlour game of ‘she said, he said’ actually functions to insidiously undermine democracy. Factual investigation of what policies are being implemented, discussion of why and how they may be...Read full review »

This is the most informative, fun and illuminating pod cast on current affairs that I’ve come across. Totally enjoyable from the first episode to the current. So glad to listen to the Pod squad, a highlight of the week when a new episode drops. Thank you, and keep doing it! Fantastic guests and...Read full review »

I listen to many political podcasts and this is one of my real favourites. Great chemistry between Nick & Amol having the opportunity to chew over key relevant issues at length both with and without guests. Great content and none of the grief of having to listen to evasive politicians as with...Read full review »

@Amol. Today, the day before the general election, I suspect the party leaders will feel a lonely and possibly a bit ashamed. The incumbent because he may be on his way out - the contender because he may be on his way in - and both because they have said and done some questionable things to get...Read full review »

Would be decent if Nick R wasn’t so condescending and treat people like idiots.

At times the content can be dull and flat. I usually like the presenters but her find them at times a bit smug - their ‘banter’ comes across forced. When it hits on a good topic it’s great to listen to, but if it doesn’t it’s definitely one to be skipped

Excellent podcast this week, two brilliant guests adding depth and colour to a big question - as promised. And more Zarah please - open, honest and funny, a rare combination in most politicians…

Would be better if they didn’t persist on presenting as if the entire audience is made up of people born yesterday they have no clue what a politics / current affairs podcast is.. or even what a podcast is. I get it, they had to do a for a few episodes while they were new, but come on, it’s...Read full review »

This is a great podcast that clarifies where we’re going with AI and it begs the question, with elections looming, where are you going to go to get true unbiased coverage? I dare the team to create an entire episode by AI - and review it? It probably won’t have the nuance, but imagine if it got...Read full review »

Good podcast. I’d love Amol & Nick to dig into why the BBC has not reported on the WPATH files, especially now in light of the Cass review. As you outlined in your latest episode it’s more important than ever to have impartial reporting, seems odd that such a significant leak has been...Read full review »

Amol’s testosterone flowing freely today. Got in the way of an otherwise interesting discussion. Stop it. It’s infantile!

It’s a good show that raises and discusses current affairs. Worth listening to. Not as good as The Rest is Politics.

Interesting and engaging from the word go. Intelligent and articulate, Robinson and Rajan romp through the latest political and economic events, both domestic and international. What makes this work so well though is the chemistry between the two men. They don’t always agree, which makes for a...Read full review »

Excellent podcast although I’m not sure I’d want to listen to Neil Ferguson too often. Life is depressing enough without having to contemplate WW3.

Yes, I’m always excited when I wake up, turn on radio 4 and realise Amol is presenting… but I don’t just enjoy this podcast because Amol Rajan is brilliant (and sexy) in myriad ways. I also enjoy it because it adds a wider context to current news stories that can often only be addressed in a...Read full review »

Amol and Nick - two of the best journalists available, developing an already great working relationship into the perfect podcast format. It’s like listening to two genuine mates discussing all the important topics of the time.
