“Mr. Starnes,
Your podcast is awesome! I get so excited each time I see a new edition under my subscriptions. I listen to "Sandy Rios In The Morning," and I look forward to your 'news and commentary' during the first commercial break. Your Southern charm is refreshing in media. My first job out of graduate school was in Memphis, so I literally laugh out loud at your North Mississippi/Memphis anecdotes.
I am a 2000 graduate of Ole Miss and a football season ticket holder. Because I live in South Mississippi, I am usually only able to attend a few men's/women's basketball games each season as well as one baseball weekend (cheered on the series win over LSU this year). Hotty Toddy! As much as I love my alma mater, I am extremely grateful for your recent column about the administration removing "Dixie" from the band's playlist. For years, our administration has bent over backward to 'atone for our past sins' and to please the left.
As a Southern Baptist, I also thank you for holding the Convention's feet to the fire. Russell Moore is another who consistently attempts to kowtow to the liberal elite. I look up to you for your willingness to speak out on subjects that may adversely affect people/things close to you.
Keep up the fabulous work. Conservative, Christian commentary is so desperately needed in our society. My only complaint is that the podcasts are not more frequent and are much too short in length. I could listen to you for an hour or more each day.
Thank you, Mr. Starnes. Fins Up!”Read full review »
