I am always surprised to find out that y’all are still looking into cases I heard of as a teen! Thank you for not letting these lives go unhonored. Thank you!

Great stories, great research, but the reading is hard to listen to. Let me know when there’s a new narrator.

I can get past the host’s naturally high pitch voice, but the problem is how he forces himself to hit “notes” much higher than his already high and thin voice, to the point his voice is about to crack every other sentence … I actually laughed a little initially coz I thought he was being dramatic...Read full review »

As a longtime fan of Unsolved Mysteries, I love finding out more about the cases I remember from my childhood.

Robin does such a great job of researching each case to those little known cases. And he’s such a sweet guy!

I enjoy the episodes so much…..when I’m able to get through them. But it’s difficult to listen to the entire episode because the dear narrator has a peculiar habit whilst speaking. His voice starts off at an even pitch/tone with each new sentence but then quickly elevates as he continues...Read full review »

Highly recommend this podcast! The host does a great job diving into untold mysteries. So interesting, I truly enjoy

Robin is articulate and researches the cases thoroughly. However, his strained high notes in his voice are unlistenable. It’s a strange, unnatural high pitch he throws in every 2nd sentence or so. When he speaks in his natural range and is more casual, he’s fine. It’s as if someone coached him...Read full review »

As with most things in life, the best surprises are those that we stumble over on the proverbial road in life. As with this show I was not looking for anything in particular then I pressed on it. Well, I was hooked. I absolutely love Robin’s narration tone with the occasional curse word in it. It...Read full review »

What is with THE weird upward inFLECTions in the speaking? I can’t. Also.. just… reading!? Eh. 🥱

I discovered you through Generation Why. I’m so glad I did! Your research is impeccable, and I have learned about so many cold cases that deserve to be put into our collective consciousness. Thank you!!!

… if you can get past Robin’s unrelentingly chipper narration x

Ok the Midwest or Canadian accent is not appealing but what is worse is the reading. I heard deep breathing to get 3 fast sentences out. Very robotic and monotone. I gave this 3 episodes. I just gave up! Latest episode about 1/2 through had the host asking 5 questions in a row. Should we...Read full review »

Steven Avery is again wrongly accused and convicted. Very interesting that he was accused right before he was to be awarded an amount of money, he suddenly was accused again.

This podcast has jumped the shark and gone woke. Can’t stand it anymore. Bye bye

I really tried to get past the delivery. Like others, I skipped to the newer episodes thinking Robin would get professional vocal help. No dice. In addition, the shameless plugging of other projects is nauseating, however, it was the Ziegler furniture store assessment that was actually the final...Read full review »

Love the podcast and honestly Robin is fantastic. Doesn’t speak to slow so that I don’t get bored. Great voice and easy to listen to. Keep it up!

As an Aussie having grown up watching Unsolved Mysteries, this is the next best thing. Keep it up!

I tried to like this podcast, but the pitch and undulating voice of the narrator was too distracting and squeaky for me to listen for very long. Sounds like I am being subjected to Tucker Carlson style of narration. Not great. This is as bad, if not worse than Mandy Matley’s vocal fry. If she can...Read full review »

There are podcasts I like the topic, and there are podcasts where the performer has a good voice, and this podcast has both! Good speed, cadence, accent.

I just stumbled upon this podcast and really enjoy it. Many of these cases I haven’t heard of. I appreciate the detail and outlines of the different theories provided. Very well done.

And the best part is, they don’t put their shows behind a pay wall. This is what got me to sign up as a patron.

I listen to many true crime podcasts. The content provided on this podcast is thorough, reliable, and interesting. Unfortunately, this gentleman has the least suitable voice for a true crime podcast. He sounds absurdly happy. His voice is high pitched, super fast, and so giddy that the story is...Read full review »

Decently researched and written show. Just can’t get over the host’s ultra nasally voice. The sing songy cadence almost seems like it’s done on purpose. It’s just too much. If you look up a picture of Robin, he looks exactly like his voice sounds. Imagine Gavin from Kids in the Hall reading you a...Read full review »

I really wanted to like this podcast, but I can’t get past the host’s voice. It is unpleasant to listen to and he is way too perky to be talking about this kind of material. It comes across as disrespectful, honestly.

I pretty much only listen to true crime, and I’m so happy I found this podcast. I love the narrator. He’s easy to listen to there are so many episodes I’ve been just binging this show, it’s my favorite so far.

The voice and inflection does take a bit to get used too, but once after listening to a few episodes and getting used to his style, and the show layout, I now I find that I look forward to each new episode. As a crime buff for decades, he really finds some wild cases I’ve never heard of, and...Read full review »

I tried so hard to get into this podcast but I just can’t. :( The host seems really intelligent and clearly does excellent research, but he reads through the material twice as quickly as he should, so it’s really hard to keep up with the story. He also has a somewhat grating voice and an awkward...Read full review »

Man people are absolutely bonkers on these reviews. You do realize this man is probably smarter than all of you combined right? Either way this is an excellent show with excellent content. There’s nothing wrong with Robin’s voice either. I’m about halfway through the back log, keep it up sir!

.....the podcaster’s annoying voice and speech pattern his research is top notch. His swearin while reading sounds terribly forced. Old cases I recall from years ago are covered and he’ll often find information that was withheld back in the day. It’s a trade off.

Thoroughly enjoyable
obfus44 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/20/22
The narrator’s voice is not only super annoying, but distracting. Sounds like a pre-pubescent boy whose voice hasn’t changed. Guess he never listens to a playback. I can’t stomach but about 5 minutes of it. Feel like I’m listening to “Leave it to Beaver”. Ugh!
Baffldovrit via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/19/22
However I really dislike the way he inserts other horrific crimes with a detailed description into every episode and talks about them like he’s describing a board game. It’s borderline offensive.

I initially thought that about Robin’s voice too but to be honest it has grown on me. It’s unique.

Interesting podcast but……. I just.can’t. Elmo is a very annoying podcaster , is that seriously a persons voice?
ThisGirl76 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/23/21
I do enjoy the stories but I think he goes on way too long and repeats the same info too many times . I usually turn it off after a couple mins of his analysis at the end . Also I feel like I’m listening to Peter Brady when his voice was changing lol but over all I still like it .
Velvetjml via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/23/21
Was recommended this podcast a few weeks ago and haven’t stopped binge listening from the beginning. Love the cases Robin brings into the episodes and a list of his theories at the end so you can lean into what may have happened. One of my fave true crime podcasts now.
CharlieB1985 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 12/07/21
I love the way the narrator seems so cynical he can barely bring himself to narrate. It gives a light hearted aspect to horrible crimes. I also like the way all the possibilities are explored at the end with the podcast’s own theories.
