“Great format and like that you bring in outside historians and former military to talk about the difference subjects. I’m a amateur WW2 history buff (my grandfather served in the army corps of engineers on Okinawa while some hold outs were still on the island in 1945. Also had an uncle serve under Patton in Sicily)
Seth and Bill complement each other very well and keep the listener interested.
Your dive into the Guadalcanal campaign was well done and I learned a lot I’d never known beyond those early marine corps battles and the “pseudo myth” that the Navy ran away.
I’ve hear the most recent Ep1 and Ep3 on the submarine service, but how has Clay Blair’s book Silent Victory not been mentioned yet (maybe you did in Ep2??).
On that, Blair’s account stated that over 90% of all Japanese vessels sunk in WW2 were done by submarines (I think Bill stated 55%)”
