Very good podcast
Not my favorite of the Slate gabfests, but certainly enjoyable and worth listening to. The episodes adopt the familiar Slate gabfest format, with the discussants (usually, but not always female) covering cultural, political, and social topics that might particularly interest women. (But even if you're a guy, please don't let the subject matter you off.) Participants tend to be smart, well-informed, and articulate. Hanna Rosin is the linchpin that holds this show together. Honestly, I have mixed feelings about Rosin, although the good outweighs the bad. Like David Plotz, she is prone to blurt out opinions/positions that are semi-outrageous. I like the fact that she's honest enough to do this, but on the negative side of the ledger I find that she is sometimes too forceful in expressing her views, running roughshod over the show's other contributors.Read full review »

Already avid listener to the Polital and Cuture Gabfests which are both highly entertaining and informative. Emily and Hanna together shoud be interesting. As least they won' thave to fight to be heard, Plotz and Dickerson like to interrupt alot ;-) Congtrats on the web launch!Read full review »
