Nice job
There are times when I disagree and time when I am annoyed, but I would hope so since we are each unique individuals with our own backgrounds. A few reasons I like the podcast include: Hannah, June, and Noreen (or whoever else may be hosting) seem to have good rapport. They aren’t afraid to disagree, and I like that. The podcast discusses issues that are important to not only women, but I would contend, men as well. Their personalities come through as human beings and they ask questions to their guests that aren’t always easy (although sometimes I sense they are holding back and I wish they wouldn’t). Sometimes, I do wish they had more holistic and professional based perspectives on issues that clearly have to do with mental health, but I think that about most podcasts. I do find the negative reviews people have related to the hosts voices (specifically Noreen's) troubling. Perhaps I have listened to too many discussions on NPR about vocal fry, etc. but my opinion is, if you don’t like how the host/reporter talks (be it tone, word usage-assuming it isn’t derogatory), just don’t listen! If it causes you pain in some way, turn-off-the-radio. How is this so hard and why must people act like it is the host’s fault? The hosts did a nice job addressing this a while back, however, I thought it important to say something after reading a few reviews. Noreen, there is nothing wrong with the way you talk or think!Read full review »

I love this podcast. I always found Emily Bazelon to be the most interesting member of the Political Gabfest and I feel like she shines even more brightly here. The balance of speakers is really good. They are smart-smart-smart.

I really like the women on this show - like I want to just hang out with them so much!!! but sometimes I feel like they are holding back when they talk about sex or other personal opinions. On a podcast about feminism- it's frustrating to hear that tendency to soften their opinion or hold...Read full review »
