Get over the story of making your podcast
An inappropriate amount of time is dedicated to telling the story of how this podcast became a podcast. That's not a story. A more mature journalist would have had the restraint to tell the story without telling the story of telling the story. "I talked to an expert to find out, would this be a good podcast?" That's material for a bonus episode. Plenty of journalists spend years reporting a story having had to shelve it for long periods of time in the process. There's seriously a disclaimer saying "This story isn't complete until the end of the story." No duh?Read full review »

This feels really self-indulgent and the meta approach does not work. Should have been 3 episodes max. Also the title is extremely inaccurate and misleading.

Huge disappointment from the Ringer. Host is super self-important, repetitive with…terrible reporting. The whole thing, it turns out, is a con!
