High mountain dispatch
The wind enters us when we’re born, and leaves us when we die. This show is about everything in between - the way we use wind to form songs, stories, to create change. Plus there’s a lot of cool weird noises, and great music. If you’re a fan of meandering, explorative storytelling, a la Benjamen Walker, Jim Jarmusch, George Saunders, or the feeling you get when your dog is trying to tell you something but you don’t speak their language, check out Fil’s podcast The Wind. They actually have a desk out in the forest where they make the podcast, I went there once and left with approximately 60 mosquito bites (I’m not exaggerating. It was the result of what I’ve heard Fil call “a hatching event.”) Anyway, I’ve said enough, go listen.
