“Only got about 15 mins in to this. A couple of spurious statements were like red flags to me. Firstly, the idea that The Sopranos is episodic tv is patently untrue and suggests the presenter doesn't know what he's talking about. Or that he's in the business of setting up 'straw men' to bolster his claims. The Wire has so many original things about it, there's no need to make fatuous claims.
Secondly, given that these are supposedly Wire superfans it was surprising to hear that one of the presenters has only watched the show once before (a binge watch 10 years ago).
