She's on a mission to ignite young minds about the endless opportunities within the merchant navy. From visiting schools to sharing insights about non-combat roles, Heather's passion for expanding horizons knows no bounds. She graduated from the University of Plymouth with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Studies (Merchant Shipping) and has worked on various vessels. For 14 years, Heather has thrived as a Deck Officer and holds an Unlimited Dynamic Positioning ticket and her Masters Unlimited. She brings years of experience within the Oil and Gas sector as well as the Ferry sector. When she's not offshore or on maternity leave, Heather frequently tutors for the Whitehorse Maritime Academy, and she can often be found in schools at careers fairs promoting the industry in her spare time.
