What coincidence!
[ignore my 1st ham-fisted attempt at typing this] I only discovered this podcast about a day ago, and was pleased to hear Wesley’s voice again after several months’ absence of “Still Processing”. As it happened the discovery came in the midst of my listening to the five albums nearly non-stop over the last three months. The emotion, technical prowess and literary power does not fade but glows brighter with each hearing. They prompt a range of memories, especially happy ones that involved my uncle who was fanatical about Stevie! On the strength of the podcast’s excellent production values, I can only hope that Wesley and the team next turn their sights to Aretha, Nina, Marvin, any and all of the capital talents who gave our culture such heft through their incomparable genius.

Wesley Morris is a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner for criticism,...Read full review »
