Great new format, still love the homilies too!
I'm a cradle Catholic. I think that term is rightly appropriate on many levels. I was raised Catholic. My family went to Church and checked all of the Catholic boxes (religious Ed., Mass, the sacraments, Holy Days, etc.) but I always felt that we left God and the teachings of the church at the church. Our spiritual life and our "regular" life were segmented. When I became an adult I continued to divide my life between being Catholic at church and following the rest of the world once I stepped outside the church doors. Last year I stumbled across Bishop Barron's "Word on Fire" website and recently his podcasts. I have never felt closer to my Catholic faith. I believe the lack of a deeper understanding of our Faith and the Bible is what has been preventing me from finding God outside of the Sunday mass. I can't get enough of Bishop Barron's homilies and insights into the Bible. Through his homilies I've found encouragement to attend daily mass, to grasp the gift of the Eucharist as more than symbolism, and to say Yes to Jesus in a real way. It has been an awakening. Bishop Barron has been a gift to me. Thank you, Bishop Barron!Read full review »

I was glad to see that Bishop Barron found the time (and I cannot imagine how!) to create these podcasts. The style is conversational and relaxed, not rushed, and full of insight. I also enjoy the question of the week that can be asked. Glad to have another resource from Bishop Barron.

Bishop Barron does a great job of presenting interesting topics. And so glad none of them have to do with Balthasar. Not a fan of Vogt's voice though.Read full review »
