Content is useless; girl is a terrible communicator
A podcast is basically 2 things: content delivered by voice. Content of this one is blah, sometimes interesting, often bland and limited to very useless common grounds. The delivery really, really sucks and often literally prevents the understanding of the content. The girl in particular clearly lacks basic vocabulary and it is a torture to listen to her imprecise rantings. I need to dumb down, similar to when listening to a baby. And I don't usually give babies a lot of credibility on travel topics. In the first episode that I listened to, she used the word 'this' over 300 times. (I stopped counting at 300)! And in 99% of the instances, I have no clue what 'this' was referring to. In 31 seconds: This cult of travel and how it's sorta This novel that is about travel This plain and simple This sorta boring life This massive adventure I don't really need this This is what life is about It's one thing to be recording in an everyday level of speech (don't need to be pompous and formal, I agree) but it's another to endure listening to someone with painfully deficient vocabulary and struggling to express the simplest of ideas. The cherry on the indigestible cake was her using interrogative tone when making a point. Girl, are you asking me questions about your experiences or are you just too weak to make a statement and assume your opinion? "I feel like in my experiences the greatest adventures, a lot of the greatest adventures I've had in my life *have* required a passport???" It may be a good podcast for people who feel lonely, just need to hear someone talk in the background or who don't mind listening to this dumbed down tone and generally shallow content. Personally, I prefer to spend my time on learning things, and being uplifted, not dragged down by useless ramblings from someone who can't express this like this like yes, wow it's pretty cool and stuff. And this is why I can't take this anymore like this. This is my opinion. Like please don't diss on me for this????Read full review »
