Not amused anymore
When I first started to listen to podcasts, a friend suggested this one because of The Secret. I have this weird compulsion to finish things, even if I think it's bad or have no interest (books, movies, i will read a magazine cover to cover.) So I kept listening. And there were moments of amusement (Outlander, ModelLand), but for the most part, it was merely 'meh.' I started to listen to other podcasts and realized there are some really great ones that are way more engaging and enjoyable. Yet I continued to listen to this one - to the point that I began to dread seeing a new episode in my feed. They are far too long (half the length might be tolerable), they seem to think themselves quite clever and hilarious and spend way too much time laughing at their own jokes, and Renata's vocal fry makes me cringe. Halfway through the current episode, I had a revelation - why am I doing this to myself? There are so many other podcasts that I can spend my time on. If you think this one is good and enjoy it, I'm happy for you, but I just can't anymore. So I'm unsubscribing.Read full review »

More reviews of The Worst Bestsellers
There are few podcasts I can safely put on when I’m feeling down and know will immediately improve my mood, and this is the top. I almost crashed my car this morning, I was laughing so hard at their Babysitters Club episode, so proceed with caution!

Smart, hilarious, and fun! This podcast is great for book lovers, librarians, fannish folk, and anyone who likes to talk about why some people love terrible things.
