“When I first started to listen to podcasts, a friend suggested this one because of The Secret. I have this weird compulsion to finish things, even if I think it's bad or have no interest (books, movies, i will read a magazine cover to cover.) So I kept listening. And there were moments of amusement (Outlander, ModelLand), but for the most part, it was merely 'meh.' I started to listen to other podcasts and realized there are some really great ones that are way more engaging and enjoyable. Yet I continued to listen to this one - to the point that I began to dread seeing a new episode in my feed. They are far too long (half the length might be tolerable), they seem to think themselves quite clever and hilarious and spend way too much time laughing at their own jokes, and Renata's vocal fry makes me cringe. Halfway through the current episode, I had a revelation - why am I doing this to myself? There are so many other podcasts that I can spend my time on. If you think this one is good and enjoy it, I'm happy for you, but I just can't anymore. So I'm unsubscribing.”Read full review »

“I don't like reading bad books, but I do love other people making fun of bad books. The hosts are hilarious, but they're also fair and insightful.”Read full review »

“I always enjoy spending time with Renata, Kait, and their guests, and of course hearing from Duarte. This would a great podcast for its readers' advisory work alone, but it's also genuinely funny and entertaining!”Read full review »
