“I've wanted to be a television writer for as long as I can remember. And as entertaining and informative as I find this podcast, what I love about it is the fact that every panelist seems to be as mentally unstable and socially awkward as me.
The Nerdist Writer's Panel is a glorious parade of over-thinkers and post-20s "weird kids" who've found the perfect outlet for their personal reverence for language and story... A love, I'm sad to say, is not "normal" in my world.
.... This makes me sound like a sociopath who hasn't talked to anyone with my mouth for a decade. This is not the case. I'm fairly social. I wrote and perform stand up comedy. But with most people, a 20 minute tangent about the minds of Joss Whedon, Mitchell Hurwitz, Dan Harmon, etc... Well, it's not really regarded as anything more than a prolonged, audible twitch that will go away if you ignore it.
So thanks for everything, Ben Blacker. I hope there will be a new episode soon.

I listen to as many of these podcasts as I can, and all they do is make me ready and excited to write. I highly recommend the Nerdist...”Read full review »
